Theatre – William Shakespeare’s Richard III

National Theatre, Budapest
27 October, 2008, 07:00PM

William Shakespeare is undoubtedly the best-known (drama) writer of his time for the modern people. His plays covered few remakes of stories of writers of previous eras (e.g. Romeo and Juliet) together with a great variety of historical events and characters. Richard III is one of the latter.

This historical play depicts the cruelty surrounding the monarchs and the way they ’get the throne within their possession.’ Richard III is the humpback king who was easily willing to carry out massacre and get his brothers murdered to have the crown.
