About ONE
In October 1998, the communications company ONE launched Austria’s only nation-wide GSM-1800 mobile telephony network. At the end of the year 2000, ONE had 1,400 employees and 1.3 million customers (mobile, fixed line and Internet). Net turnover in 2000 amounted to ATS 5.8 billion. ONE has a population coverage of 97 percent. Besides mobile telephony, ONE also offers the Internet product i-ONE, the fixed-line solution f-ONE, and – together with Priority Telecom – the convergence product Take Two. ONE is the only mobile telephony operator in all of Austria to offer HSCSD (ONE High Speed), and with the ONE Organizer it has a communication manager which combines W@P, Web and SMS. To date, ONE has invested ATS 18 billion in Austria, and another 4 billion are planned for the year 2001.
