Egan Bernal első kolumbiaiként nyerte meg a Tour de France országúti kerékpáros körversenyt. Az Ineos versenyzője pályafutása első háromhetes körversenyén győzött 22 évesen és 196 naposan, ezzel ő minden idők harmadik legfiatalabb győztese.
