Neil Gaiman - Neverwhere

Richard Mayhew, Londoner, young business man, leads a dull still stressful life. His life turns upside down and extraordinary when he comes across a bleeding girl on the street. He soon finds himself in the labirynth of the unknown of the city of the Big Ben.
His life vanishes without trace as if no mother had given birth to a baby called Pichard Mayhew.

A must-read for thriller fans.
